Bitloom is a small founder-led engineering team. We started in 2022 after spending most of our careers building learning platforms inside other companies, and got tired of watching the same mistakes repeat — over-configurable LMSes turning into ops disasters, certifications run out of spreadsheets, audit trails reconstructed by hand.

We are deliberately small. Every engagement gets a named principal engineer and a delivery lead who joined the discovery sprint and stays through handover. We do not sell hours; we sell working software with audit trails. We turn down work that does not fit, including most consumer-learning briefs, and we will say so on the discovery call rather than wasting the next three weeks of your time.

How we run

Opinionated platforms beat configurable ones. Every LMS feature we ship is one we've defended in writing. If it doesn't earn its keep, it doesn't ship.
You own the codebase on Custom Builds. Repository transfer at sign-off. No licence fees, no lock-in, no escrow theatre.
Audit trails are non-negotiable. Every learner action goes to an immutable log. Regulators audit our clients; we are quietly responsible for what shows up.
EU data residency by default. Frankfurt or Amsterdam. No "we'll figure out compliance later".
Small team, named people. No offshoring. No agency-of-agency layer. The engineer who joined discovery is the engineer at handover.

The team

Andrii Voloshyn

Founder & Principal Engineer

Andrii founded Bitloom after a decade building learning platforms for compliance and certification clients. He led the engineering teams behind two pan-European certification programmes before going independent in 2022. Day-to-day he runs discovery sprints, owns the architecture for every custom build, and writes the runbooks that keep the rental tier boring (in a good way). He believes opinionated platforms beat configurable ones, and that "we'll add it later" is where most LMS projects go to die.

Maksym Tkachenko

Lead Platform Engineer

Maksym leads platform engineering across Bitloom's custom builds. He spent eight years at a fintech building payment infrastructure before moving into EdTech, which means he treats audit logs and idempotency the way most engineers treat tests — non-optional. On a build he owns the data model, the deployment pipeline, and the on-call runbook. He is the person clients call at 9am the morning after a cutover, and the reason those calls usually end in under five minutes.

Daria Klymchuk

Head of Delivery

Daria runs delivery across Bitloom — discovery sprints, project cadence, change orders, the lot. She came out of a regulated training background (six years at an EU-licensed exam centre), which means she speaks both languages — engineering and curriculum — and translates between them without losing detail. On a build she is the single point of contact for the client and the one keeping engineers from feature-creeping into the weekend.
